I went out for a short day trip with my qanik. First island outside the harbour. Just about 15 min of paddling each way. Lovely weather!

I like all what I have read abut Qanik. Speaking in the phone with one of the dealers in Denmark, he told me, that I woun’t have space for my legs and feet in the Qanik. I am 1,95 m ( 6,3 ), with feet of 46 on size ( 11,5 ) and 90 kg ( 198 – 200 lb ), how big are you? Is there any chance for a guy like me to use a Qanik for a few days trip?
Tnx.
Hmm. You are almost 20 cm longer than me and have bigger feet (me 42). I would recommend you to try one before buying the kayak. It might go but it will be tight.

Hi Marius,
I am about same size as Peter and I sat in Qanik at “Kano og Kajak Værkstedet” in Lyngby. Since you are thatmuch longer and the bigger fet, I think Qanik is not for you. I am fairly inexperienced but I know i would not like to enter Qanik.
The biggest hurdle in the Qanik I think is the thigh braces, which make the cockpit feel even smaller. Apart from that I like Qanik very much also and felt that was the boat for me also (until i tried to enter it).
I ended buying Sea Pearl where I enter comfortably, but my feet (42) are still at the longest for it.
I find it interresting if you chose it or not.

Maybe North Sea is the better choice for you?
