I bought my Hilleberg Akto tent about 6 years ago. I estimate I have spend 50 nights in the tent since it bought it in 2005. Before the Hilleberg Akto I have owned a Vaude Space One (none existing one-vestibule version of Space II). I’m also owning a Hilleberg Allak which I’m using often as well. The reason I bought a Hilleberg Akto was that I wanted a light, all season solid tent for a single person. I intended to have it mostly for hiking but I have ended up using it for almost every activity when I’m alone. The reason I chose the Akto was that some of my friends already had it and they were really satisfied.

I’m very pleased with my Hilleberg Akto. I have modified my lines so I just need four attachment points to the ground. Therefore it is also possible to pitch the tent at rocks quite easily. Instead of inserting pegs into the ground, I use some stones at each attachment point. Please se pictures below. It is easy to pitch but it on solid ground the time to collect stones might take some time. The Akto has been a perfect tent in harsh conditions. I have been using it in snow storm, a nice experience. The vestibule is great. I will continue to use both my tents depending to the environment and activity. I definitely recommend the tent if you are an outdoor person and looking for solo person tent
